The enlargement of the chronic drug coverage was approved last April 6 (file 2914-7405/11) after numerous complaints by our Union and signifies the recovery of 100% coverage of test strips for diabetics, increased coverage for drugs intended for bronchial asthma and hypertension, among other chronic diseases.
On 1 April 2011 IOMA referred to the Investigation Board Teachers the document showing their agreement with the following important developments:
1. 100% coverage - no charge to the member - test strip and disposable materials for administration and monitoring diabetes treatment plan (accessories).
2. Drugs were added 29 high therapeutic value to the 46 originally proposed by IOMA, forming a scenario for updating the comprehensive and integrated coverage not only for drugs of choice (drugs older and cheaper) but for their alternative current treatments (drugs that appeared after more expensive and many users) for the 16 conditions defined by the provincial social work.
3. Updated the IOMA a fixed amount of securities prices in December 2010-January 2011 - which is very important for the recovery of the coverage obtained in this phase.
This means that a member of the IOMA, with SUTEBA coinsurance, coverage will benefit more than 80% of sales as the brand of choice in medicines.
This represents a first step agreements with Social Work. continue to work for the recovery of the coverage of all Drug Formulary drugs.
