Within 100 years of the first celebration of International Women's day, next year will be held in Venezuela, the World Conference on Women's Base , which aims to bring together thousands of women from all continents and different social and political sectors who live and struggle in the hope of a better world, to gather the efforts and dreams in strengthening the global women's movement.

women for centuries we have faced different problems by the patriarchy and oppression of the capitalist system we live in the flesh of poverty, unemployment, work at lower wages than men, ignorance and violation of our rights, the consequences of war, violence, inequality and discrimination in economic, political, social and cultural.

Even so, women have raised our voices in protest, fighting for our demands for our rights, we organized and we fought alone, always, women have had to struggle constantly for our emancipation.

In recent years we have seen in different countries has been a resurgence of the struggles of workers against exploitation capitalist and in many countries and peoples for their independence. The women's movement is no exception, participation of women and their organizations becomes important are strength in the social and political transformation.

Under this, the World Conference on Women's Base becomes an important and necessary stage for the articulation of the struggles given by women.

WHEN WILL THE CONFERENCE?

Between 4 and March 8, 2011 in Caracas Venezuela.

WHAT IS THE NATURE OF THE CONFERENCE?

World Conference Grassroots becomes a democratic, comprehensive, participatory and respectful of the experiences and purposes of the attendees.

To develop it, the conference will feature two sections: The general assembly which will work with thematic workshops and conference delegates composed of representatives elected in each country.

WHAT TOPICS ARE DISCUSSED AT THE CONFERENCE?

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?:


All women, grassroots women's organizations, social organizations, cultural, environmental, etc, whose women share a need to build a better world and want to strengthen the unity of peoples and of women who are engaged in the struggle for the abolition of all forms of exploitation and discrimination.

INSTANCE WHAT IS THE ORGANISATION OF THE CONFERENCE?

In each country there is a committee of women and representatives of organizations who assume the task of convening, organizing and project participation and representation of women in the general assembly and conference delegates.

PROMOTER COMMITTEE OF THE WORLD CONFERENCE ON WOMEN

  • call and coordinate the involvement of national, regional and local to the global women's conference.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

  • present a financial plan to raise funds for participation in the global women's conference.
  • pro Coordinate funds made different organizations and the committee advocate for global women's conference. Manage
  • resources collected for participation in the World Conference on Women. LOGISTICS COMMITTEE
  • coordinate activities related to:
  • accommodations and food for event participants.
  • Visas and entry to Venezuela
  • Transportation to and back
  • ensure the logistics for the implementation of activities and meetings for the World Conference on Women

  • design strategies for the development, dissemination and distribution of propaganda.
